POSTPONED – Women in Philanthropy Quarterly Meeting

Tonight’s Women in Philanthropy Quarterly Meeting and Reception POSTPONED

The Scranton Area Community Foundation, Women in Philanthropy and Women’s Whistle Stop are committed to the safety and well-being of our supporters, friends, and community partners. We have been actively monitoring the public health concerns related to COVID-19 and are taking a proactive approach in an effort to prevent illness and promote a healthy environment.

As a proactive precaution, we have made the decision to reschedule the Women in Philanthropy/Women’s Whistle Stop Quarterly Meeting and Reception that was scheduled for tonight March 12, 2020. The new date will be Wednesday, June 3, 2020, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

This was not a decision taken lightly, but we trust that it is in the best interest to err on the side of caution.

We look forward to celebrating our mutual goals and the potential of this important partnership in June. Venue details will be forthcoming.

Please note that we have also decided to postpone the Matched Savings Graduation Dinner that was scheduled for Wednesday, March 18th, at 7:00 p.m. at Alfredo’s Café in Scranton. We look forward to congratulating and celebrating the recent graduates of the Matched Savings and Financial Confidence Program, launched through Women in Philanthropy, at a date in the near future.
