Tomorrow's Leaders Today (TLT) es un programa de liderazgo juvenil de Leadership

The Humor Therapy Fund 2025 Grant

Established in Julio 2011 by Jeannine Luby, the Humor Therapy Fund is intended to support any activity by a 501(c)3 organization that promotes laughter and/or humor for the benefit of its clients and/or the community.

Whether a nonprofit organization wants to bring smiles to children, hold a comedy improv workshop to improve staff morale, or create a humor toolkit, the Humor Therapy Fund of the Scranton Area Community Foundation can provide the necessary support.

Qualified nonprofit organizations must demonstrate how their program/project relates to humor therapy or supportive humor.

Applications will be accepted from Julio 1, 2025, until Agosto 31, 2025. They will then be reviewed by a committee. Grants will not exceed $870.00.

MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund 2025 Grant

Established in Mayo 2019 in memory of Mary H. Acker, the MHA Memorial Shelter/Rescue Fund was created to support animal shelters or rescues.

Specifically, the purpose of the fund is to support Pennsylvania animal shelters and/or rescues that have a no-kill policy, and which are working to help abused, abandoned, or injured dogs.

Applications will be accepted from Julio 1, 2025, until Agosto 31, 2025. They will then be reviewed by a committee. Total Grants will not exceed $6,080.00.

Sheldon Family Foundation 2025 Grant

The Sheldon Family Foundation was established at the Scranton Area Community Foundation in 2019, and is intended to enrich the lives of peoples residing or visiting the counties located in the Endless Mountains region, including Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Sullivan, and Wyoming Counties.

The Sheldon Family Foundation emphasizes the following focus areas: Arts, Natural Resources and Conservation, Parks and Open Spaces, Animal Welfare and Protection, Libraries and Historical Societies, and Child Advocacy.

Applications will be accepted from Julio 1, 2025, until Agosto 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Decisions will be announced in the fall of 2025. Grant amounts will be up to $10,000.

Steamtown Museum Association Fund 2025 Grant

The Scranton Area Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the annual distribution from the Steamtown Museum Association Fund.

Grants can be used for the restoration and preservation of railroad artifacts and related educational projects.

Subvenciones para necesidades críticas (hasta 5.000 $)

Subvenciones Robert H. Spitz

Beginning on Viernes, Agosto 1, 2025, applications will be accepted for the Fall 2025 Grant cycle.

The Robert H. Spitz Foundation, administered by the Scranton Area Community Foundation, is pleased to announce the Fall 2025 grant cycle and invites local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to apply for grant funding. The grant application process begins with submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI) through this online portal.

All submitted LOIs will be reviewed, and selected organizations will be invited to submit a full grant application through the online portal before the grant application deadline.

The Robert H. Spitz Foundation awards grants to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that support initiatives and programs serving the residents of Lackawanna County and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Please note that the trustees of the Robert H. Spitz Foundation have not set funding parameters for this grant process.

Fall 2025 priority areas for funding include:

Animal Welfare
Including but not limited to programs that support humane education, adoption for homeless animals, spay/neuter, trap neuter release (TNR), rescue, veterinary care and which help the economically disadvantaged and the elderly to keep their companion animals.

Environmental
Programs/projects that seek to preserve and/or protect the environment; raise awareness and/or educate about climate/environmental issues; and seeks to mitigate the impact of harmful practices to the environment and promote recreation/public health.

Veterans’ Affairs and Veteran-Oriented Programs
Programs that support veterans and their families through access to healthcare, housing, job training, mental health services, and reintegration support. This includes initiatives addressing homelessness, PTSD, disability benefits, and community-based outreach tailored to the unique needs of those who have served in the military.

Deadlines:
– Deadline to submit Letter of Intent (LOI): Domingo, Agosto 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
– Deadline to submit application: Martes, Septiembre 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

The grant application process begins with submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI) through the online portal.

To submit an LOI, you will need to first create an account in our online grant management portal.

All applicants are required to create an account. [Note that your LOI/grant application can be saved as a draft, and when you log on again it’s easy to return to that draft, make edits, and submit the application when you’re ready to do so.

The Scranton Area Community Foundation’s Community Needs Grants and Critical Needs grants are awarded to registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that help to enhance the quality of life in Lackawanna County. Grant applications are evaluated according to specific criteria including community impact, organizational capability, and project feasibility and sustainability. We will also take into account the challenges nonprofits face in this turbulent time.
